Product Overview

A practical path for bringing installed serial equipment into modern industrial data networks.

The DT-9003 converts an RS232 host signal for RS422 or RS485 serial equipment. Its official manual identifies a DB9 female connector on the RS232 side and a DB9 male connector with a six-position terminal board on the RS422/RS485 side.

The converter is normally powered from the RS232 port and automatically controls data direction without jumper settings. The source specifies 300 to 115200 bps, up to 1200 metres on the RS485 side and up to 5 metres on the RS232 side.

Frequently Asked Questions

Verified answers for product selection and project planning.

Which serial interfaces does the DT-9003 support?

The DT-9003 converts an RS232 host interface for connection to RS422 or RS485 equipment.

Does the DT-9003 require an external power supply?

Normally no. The official manual states that it is powered from the RS232 port. A 9V external supply may be connected through the VCC terminal when an installation requires it.

What baud-rate range does the DT-9003 support?

The official product page and manual specify 300 to 115200 bps.

How far can the DT-9003 transmit?

The source specifies up to 1200 metres on the RS485 side and up to 5 metres on the RS232 side.
