The DT-9016 is an externally powered industrial converter for connecting an RS232 host to RS485 field equipment. Its eight-position terminal block provides three parallel A/B connection pairs so the shared RS485 bus can be routed in multiple directions without stacking several wires on one terminal.

DTECH's product approval specification identifies adaptive asynchronous half-duplex transmission, 300 to 115200 bps, up to 1200 metres on the RS485 side and up to 15 metres on the RS232 side. The matching English manual specifies a 9–30VDC input range and a nominal 9V adapter.
